Will Hrithik's loss be Aamir's gain?
Vijay Krishna Acharya and Aamir Khan may work once again after Dhoom 3. The film in question is Thug.

The buzz in the trade is that Hrithik Roshan is no more interested in Victor's (as Vijay Krishna Acharya is fondly called) project and has decided to opt out of the film.

Victor and the film's producer (Yash Raj Films) have bounced off the idea to Aamir and are now waiting for his nod of consent. A source says, "Victor and YRF want to start Thug soon. It is taking them time to finalise the cast, but they have a cracker of a script. All said and done, it's still a win-win situation for Victor and YRF."

Thug has been in the news for the longest time, but failed to take off on time. Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone were also supposed to be an integral part of the film, but now even they are not sure of doing it.

It will be interesting to see if Aamir who is not an easy customer when it comes to choosing films picks up this one. Right now, he is busy with Dangal- and hasn't signed anything for later. Thug has landed in his lap, and let's see what destiny holds in store for Victor who right now must be slightly on tenterhooks (Human nature). However, he is backed by a solid production house who believes in quality and there is no reason why he will not get a suitable replacement of Hrithik.

Or will Hrithik spring a surprise and go back to Thug?

There is a lot of curiosity on the roles of Deepika and Big B too. Kaun karega? Dekhen kya hota hai.

Seems, an official announcement of the cast is soon in the offing.

Victor's last offering Dhoom 3 was a blockbuster.
